This is unconscionable. Is there anybody on either side of the aisle who thinks this is okay?
I guess my son is one of the lucky ones, he got this early enough in my state that he got a ventilator. How many others won't be so lucky because of crap like this?
I watched a video recently on youtube about an anesthesiologist who claimed that anesthetist workstations could be converted into ventilators in an emergency, and that there are thousands available.
Of course, there is alot of legal red tape that might make that difficult, but in an emergency situation, perhaps the laws can be laid aside.
All Cuomo does is whine. Most of NYC problems are de Blasio's fault...
Some highlights from de Blasio's month.....
“For the vast majority of New Yorkers, life is going on pretty normally right now,” Bill de Blasio said on Morning Joe March 10, as the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the U.S. topped 1,000. “We want to encourage that.” He added that there was a “misperception” that the disease “hangs in the air waiting to catch you. No, it takes direct person-to-person contact.”
He pledged to keep schools open, even if someone at any given school was found to have contracted the disease, saying that they would take a day to isolate the sick and clean the school before getting it back up and running. “If you’re under 50 and you’re healthy, which is most New Yorkers, there’s very little threat here.”
Three days later, facing (to use a favorite de Blasio-ism) “a very different reality,” including a growing outcry from parents and from his own public-health officials, some of whom threatened to quit if he didn’t shutter schools and start taking the outbreak more seriously, New York City public schools were officially closed, probably for the rest of the school year.
Shortly thereafter, he declined to cancel St. Patrick’s Day parade and then did. He resisted calls to cancel regular street sweeping and then did. He had a photo op at a 311 call center, where he told a caller who had just returned from Italy that she did not need to self-quarantine, advice that forced 311 to actually call the woman back and tell her to stay inside for 14 days. The mayor touted the city’s new, wide-scale testing capacity, only to have his Health Department announce that only hospitalized patients should be tested.
“If you love your neighborhood bar, go there now,”
deBlasio should be removed from office before he gets millions killed.
So in theory, NY should outbid everyone since NY is one of the richest state in the nation. Rich states like California and NY are corrupt and throw money on useless pet projects. Insane AOC wants to money to be given to illegal immigrants is a prime example.

What is insane is that states have to bid for medical equipment to begin with. They shouldn't go to the highest bidder, they should go where there is the most need. It's outrageous that money plays any role in this at all.

I see your point. Companies don’t make stuff for free. New hired nurses are now paid double rate now. Should we complain about that?
No it isn't. Unlike Trump, Cuomo is taking this seriously and is working his tail off to get the supplies and help he needs. His approach is mature, articulate, and sincere. While Trump fiddles, Cuomo is knee deep in this crisis and is exhibiting qualities that a true leader should possess.
Thank God we have people like him in just about every State who are working hard to solve this problem, because we sure as Hell are not getting it from Trump.
Here is a timeline to coronavirus outbreak in NYC, you get to thank Cuomo and Deblasio for it. True leadership alright. I saw on. tV last night so many buses to take the deads to the morgue. It was eerie.

This was misinformation that came from the top down. They were crazy stupid to heed anything Trump spewed, but check out the timeline and what was the pathological liar in The White House saying at those tines?
