for example: if a small steakhouse... or even a small chain of steak houses..are forced to close their doors for this confinement time, and they are not getting shipments, and then they cant make their lease payment, do you really think they will be able to pay a laid-off employee/cut hours employee, PAID sick leave???
do you really think its the FEDERAL governments job to force businesses to do this??
so should the federal government dictate this towards state employees.... my thinking is severe government over-reach, and unconstitutional

Yes, how horrible, some senators understand the concept of private property. I am willing to bet the OP has never owned a business with employees and had to meet a payroll.
I disagree with both parties. The government shouldn't be involved at all. It should be up to each business how much paid sick leave they want to give their employees. The government needs to back the hell off and stay out of it.
