No it appears that the response of Oklahoma and Mississippi are the worst in the world, some states haven't even shot down schools. The great state of Florida is far behind NY and you will see the impact due to their lack of inaction in the weeks to come. This post will look very foolish.
It looks like Oklahoma has a whopping 248 confirmed cases of this. You sound like the guy in the Pittsburgh forum who said that West Virginia is going to infect us in the 'Burgh. Waaay off base.

Oklahoma has tested less than 1,000 people as of yesterday. No one has any idea about the scope of the problem there. It could be a small number or it could be multiplying exponentially and running rampant through the State this very moment.
That is why testing is the first, critical step. Without testing to determine the magnitude of the problem, you cannot assess the problem because the problem is defined the magnitude.
Cuomo says he needs 30,000 to 40,000 ventilators but all this time, and all the deaths, he hasn’t had to use more than 1500 (he stated this morning).
I find it selfish that hes asking the government/nation for all the avail ventilators when he hasn’t came close to using up his stock pile. And positive corona cases are starting to slow down a bit in the state.

Well, I guess you don't understand how exponential growth works. He said today that the 30,000 number he is using expectation needed for the time when hospitalizations are at their highest point from several public and private sources including McKinsey's, Weill Cornell, and the Department of Health.
He is stockpiling them now in anticipation that they will be needed, much like one stockpiles non-perishable food because they are warned of an incoming natural disaster. It may be 70 degrees and sunny on the day you buy the food, but that doesn't detract from the wisdom in preparing.

He wants to take resources away from other states. No thanks, Governor Slomo.
Right. And there is no way to even begin to evaluate the scope of the problem, much less find a viable solution to it, without broad testing. You have no clue what you are dealing with statewide with 1,400 tests.

Each situation requires a different response. Basically no one lives in Oklahoma and Mississippi and those that do don't live on top of each other like rats so preventing the spread requires less than it would in other places.
Keep making excuses for the failures of NY if you want, but it's not a good look.
Me, myself and I again.
