Cuba sent the first person of African descent into space years before the United States.

At one time Cuba had the second-largest economy in the western hemisphere.

Default U.S. warns others not to fall for the ‘false generosity’ of Cuba’s enslaved doctor missions

https://babalublog.com/2020/03/27/u-...ctor-missions/ ( On Thursday the highest-ranking U.S. diplomat in Cuba, Mara Tekach, called on others to “read carefully” so they are not fooled by “those who are trying to distort” the complaints by Washington that the regime in Havana is exploiting Cuban doctors when they are sent on missions in foreign countries. )OP

LOL! A Cuban citizen hitched a ride on a Soviet space mission, and you are using this to show how futuristic Cuba is?!

If NASA sent someone from Ethiopia to space, would this suddenly mean Ethiopia achieved something grand and is some kind of cutting edge futuristic nation?

How about this... What wonders and inventions has Cuba gifted humanity over the years?

Cuba is an island nation of 11 million with limited land area and resources. Show me an island nation of 11 million anywhere in the world that is a scientific or an economic powerhouse.

There is no doubt that their "system" has damaged them greatly because they are basically cut off from the US and many other countries all these decades.

But apparently they spent much of their limited resources on having a representative medical system. I know you aren't capable of giving them any credit but at least they aren't Haiti.

The focus on education and healthcare and accessibility is most commendable and puts the USA to shame.

This is exactly why the wealthiest people in world all flock to Cuba for healthcare, instead of the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins, and MD Anderson.

Healthcare in Cuba is terrible. If one needs surgery, you have to buy your own surgical instruments and disposables to get it done. It is hilarious that libs always bring up this Cuba healthcare myth.
