Maybe you should move to Cuba since you're sick of NYC. Have a few Cuba Libre's and see what it's like living in the socialist hellhole you want this country to be.

But apparently they spent much of their limited resources on having a representative medical system. I know you aren't capable of giving them any credit but at least they aren't Haiti.
They could never be Haiti because they didn’t have to pay $21 billion to their colonial power for loss of slaves until 1947. No other nation in the world has ever had to pay reparations to the slaveholders. Leave Haiti out of it. That’s one of the main reasons why Cuba is quicker to help Haiti.

You’re correct about how Cuba has been damaged but don’t act like Haiti hasn’t endured hell.

Seems to be a lot of fear expressed on this thread that Cuba actually accomplished something (in spite of the US embargo) that is helping other countries in need. We have Cuban trained doctors and specialists working in this country. The mindless kneejerk responses on this thread show how ignorant and uninformed these people are. And, yes, Cuba has developed a vaccine for some forms of lung cancer that prolongs life for those with cancer---- for political reasons it is not available here.

I couldn't resist to bump this thread by mentionning this news from another topic posted on C-D forums by wondering if that thread aged well?
