The concern right now should be whether the GLOBAL economy collapses or not!!

Imo, the US economy has already collapsed, the public just isnt aware of it yet.

We have something like 186 positions of this type open and can't fill them.
Then you are not trying. Offer to pay them the market rate, and they will come.

You didn't "have to" interview foreigners. You could have advertised more widely or offered better compensation.

That doesn't work in high skilled areas where limited skilled people exist. Sure, low skilled jobs like MS SQL and .NET you can just find people that are willing to work.

Fortunately, there's a talent pool of 7 billion people.

Yes, it does, you cheapskate.

You can keep denying reality, but it doesn't change it. Ignorance is bliss. If you can't get a job, you aren't trying hard enough or are not adequate enough. People are going to hire the best, not mediocrity.
Fortunately, there's a pool of 7 billion people to choose from.

You just denied the most basic laws of economics to justify your greedy exploitation of your fellow countrymen. And then you make a personal attack on the person who pointed it out? And one that reveals you as profoundly stupid?

Your response was RETARDED. People are going to hire the best, you say -- now? A moment ago you said people are going to ignore the best and import someone else to try to do it less expensively.

My mediocrity, by the way, has at least a 30-IQ-point advantage over yours. If you were really trying, you'd advertise so that smart people in other fields would consider switching to do whatever the hell it is that you do.

Everything you post is worth questioning. You're the one making personal attacks:

If you can't get a job, that's on you. Perhaps it's because of the way you treat people. Just look at the quotes above. No one would want to hire you.

But never mind, all offers are cancelled due to COVID-19
Given the discriminatory practices of many Asians, it does not surprise me, they will overlook qualified non-Asians in search of their Asian. This is why in a work center with Asian supervisors, you will see a mostly Asian staff.

I did nothing of the like. That's all in your head.

I never said this. It must be the voices in your head that you're hearing.

It says a lot about you if you have to say things to flatter yourself. Whatever floats your boat.

In fields where all the smart people have jobs, no amount of advertising is going to get you enough people. If you bump up a lower salary of $300k to $400k, don't you think that the company they are working at is going to to the same? And if one company is able to steal an employee from another company, than that other company needs someone. There's not an unlimited number of highly skilled people in a finite place. That's why we tap the pool of 7 billion people.
