PS -- I am not a Christian.
The OP tried to imply that people are choosing Gov't over God (he actually said it, didn't imply it). They have every right to respond to that crap.

OP has no right to tell others how they should pray or honor their faith, or which faith they should honor, or if they even have faith at all. It's a personal decision.

What you are seeing is not a hate of Christians, it's a hate for people telling other people what they should, or should not believe in their hearts. And the irony of it coming from someone who honors the most sacred day in Christianity by "throwing a bash" is just rich.

FYI, I'm not a Christian either, but I respect Christianity. I don't respect people who pose as Christians, while not even knowing what that actually means.

To answer your question of why: If the OP had not opened his, there would be no need to respond.

No large Easter dinner gathering in my family. Too dangerous these days. Everyone staying put in their homes.

This year it's going to be the immediate family and we will be doing it picnic style outside on the deck. Gonna be funny to say can I have another burger instead of pass the turkey/ham.

Today is also Palm Sunday. My wife was going to go to church. And I know the govt told me I wasn't allowed to go to church. So, I asked my wife if we were going and she kinda shrugged. I told her I'm going. I figured that the priest would be saying mass no matter if the church was full or empty. So we went and there were a few parishioners there. Spaced out in the pews. Most on their knees praying.

We sat near the front and said our prayers. The priest wasn't there and that disappointed me quite a bit. That he would listen to the govt over God. Afterwards we went up near the alter and picked up our blessed palms. My wife got some for her and my sister. We'll distribute them throughout the family since none of them were brave enough to enter the church against the governors orders.

Not "brave enough", more like smart enough. Anyone who goes into any group of people now, even a religious group, need their heads examined.

God doesn't give a **** if you pray to him in a church or at home alone, so why be so stupid as to put yourself and others at risk ?
