Who would pay for all that

The taxpayer of course. You are asking for socialism, and you don't even know it.
If it works for this virus, the answer is obviously YES!!!

Trump has been the right president for the time we are living in. He said it's time to reshore, but traitors ridiculed him, called him stupid, etc. Well, he must be the smartest stupid president we've ever had. He's been right about pretty much everything all along, and time only serves to vindicate him.

who said anything about massive stockpiles?

small stockpiles plus maintaining / retaining the capacity to produce it is all that's needed.

we pay for national security every single day, add that one to the list.

No, its not about this virus, it would have to be EVERY tropical disease. If malaria drugs work on Corona, it is a coincidence, and to assume that some tropical disease drug might work against a future virus can only mean we need to stockpile every drug under the sun knowing 99% will never be used.

You go ahead and build a personal stockpile. I am not interested in investing my money to quell your irrational fears.

I don't think it'll be a significant issue. Multiple manufacturers are already ramping up production. Plus they're cheap to make, so it's good for us consumers.

Right, Trump is the reason behind India's decision.

You guys are so blinded by your hate. Is there anything which you would perceive as negative that could happen in the world that you wouldn't blame Trump for?

I have no problem with valid criticism of anyone, but come on. Y'all just aren't being serious, the vast majority of the time.

All the government had to do is inject little fear into your hearts in order to get you to support authoritarian socialism. It worked like a charm.

Closer to home...Trump tried to order 3M to stop supplying M95 masks to Canadian hospitals. 3M said they have both a legal contract to do so, plus a humanitarian responsibility to do so.

THIS act by your President has shown how really ignorant he is. This is how he treats the closest ally that the USA has. We won't forget this example of being treated like some third world back water.

The USA needs to maintain polite relations with us. This isn't how you do that.

The reaction of one of the Canadian Provincial leaders re the Trump order to deny 3M masks to Canadians.

It's legitimately a pathological condition for some of them.
