I think the aliens came down and implanted probes inside Joe Biden's brain and he is the reason so many have gotten sick.

More cops? Yes, funnily enough they are not as busy as they used to be, at least not on traffic duty. They still need to keep those of limited mental capacity safe from themselves by policing parks and other off-limits areas. Overall, this means they have more time to patrol and keep your neighborhood safe. Be thankful.

Republican states are run by dimwit governors who know their days are numbered and see that their far right wingnuts are rattling their AR-15's. Consequently, they will do anything to appease their constituents. Democratic states are being led by people with more intelligence, integrity and compassion for their constituents.

Personally, no, I don't think things will go back to normal. And I hope they don't. We have had a chance to re-evaluate what's important in our lives, how much of a rat-race we are living in and how much can be done without getting in a metal box and crawling with millions of other people to a miserable cube surrounded by other people in miserable cubes. And yes, I really do feel very badly for those out of work and wondering whether they pay rent or buy food. But that's all part of the capitalistic society we have embraced, one that values our 'output' more than the person... But don't assume what we have is a blueprint for how other countries treat their citizens, because it's at times like this that good state actors and bad state actors really show their true colors... I know what I am seeing is the very dark underbelly of a society ripped apart by one person. And he is orange. You might call it TDS, I call it being honest with myself and others.
sounds like North Korea is the place for you comrade. Are you sending that $1200 back to those capitalist pigs?

In addition, it is also actually election season, although it has seemed like election season all along since Trump's unexpected victory caused people to become completely unhinged. Many of those people are in the media, on late night television and in Hollywood, so we hear about how 'horrible' Trump is all the time. They're also not going to waste this crisis and are trying all they can to make Trump look bad at all costs.

Thirdly, people are freaking out. The economy is basically closed, people are sheltered in place, and there's no toilet paper. Geez, give us a break.
Blaming the media for everything that is wrong in America has grown tiresome. Personally I take a virus with no cure that has already killed 40,000 Americans pretty seriously but I guess that's just me. And about 7 billion other people around the world.

I’ve noticed cops driving around my neighborhood and parked in the park areas. We are in a middle to upper class neighborhood. Most police presence I’ve noticed. It almost feels like we are being turned into a totalitarian society. Interesting how many states with republicans governors are starting to open up their states but democrat run states aren’t or haven’t announced yet. Do you think things will ever go back to normal?
I have said from the beginning the government overreacted, and even passed an astronomical bailout bill to compensate for the damage they inflicted.

Of course things will return to normal, and in the end Republicans will blame it 100% of "the left". They can't help it, since they are incapable of taking accountability for their own actions. That kind of blame-game has already begun, and the main cheer-leader is the president himself.

As for re-opening, there are several things:

1. Blue State coalition which are planning a re-opening strategy. They were the first to start talking about it
2. Trump guidelines, which were in response to #1. These guidelines require 14 day monitoring period
3. Some individual States talking about partial reopening
4. Trump encouraging protests for immediate re-open
5. People actually protesting
6. Majority of States have declared April 30-May 15, or soon after as target date for re-open

It should be common sense that hot-spots would remain closed longer. For example, Florida might start opening, while hot-spots like Miami-Ft Lauderdale might stay closed longer.

Blame shifting examples from this thread alone. Make no mistake about it, the same people blamed Dems for not passing a $2.3 Trillion socialist bailout bill fast enough. Now they blame them for passing it. This is their standard formula:

That is because they are in their last year of employment, and pensions are calulated using the last years earnings, so they are injecting their pension payouts with steroids.

Meanwhile, the homeowners who are paying high property taxes get hosed...until they bail out, & flee. In small #'s they go unnoticed, but then....

Back on topic...I don't see any coordinated plan taking place to control people in the USA. I see desperate politicians trying to do what is best, but nobody knows what is best.

It's becoming clearer to most of them, that keeping the economy shut down for much longer, isn't an option.

In all but the hot spots, gov't will begin a phased-in re-opening soon, & testing will be done at max capacity of those moving about.

I think the only conspiracy theories apply to China....Joe Bidens' pals, & Trump's frenemy. Joe has a China conspiracy problem to deal w/come November...if he's still running.

I dont believe that, mainly because the virus is a natural thing and scientists are able to fight it and create vaccines and treatments for it....if this was directly from God (as a form of wrath or punishment), mankind could do NOTHING to stop or even slow it down, they wouldnt be able to create a vaccine for it.

Plus, I think if it were Gods wrath, that would be VERY apparent, where NO ONE could mistake it for something else, it would defy natural laws and baffle human experts, (that is not the case with Corona).

There is no such thing as conspiracies.

The coronavirus pandemic is bad luck, combined with the recklessness of the Chinese.

Keep in mind that Bill Clinton ultimately created this situation by making China an economic and military juggernaut, all for campaign bribes.

In the future, if we have more grifters for president, we should just offer them a few billion to act in favor of the US, rather than China. Unfortunately, Biden has already been purchased by the Chinese. So if you really like what China has done (and will do), vote Biden.

This is precisely why we are seeing the things we are seeing right now, this is the govt trying to maintain control.
People listened when Trump was in charge, no more, once the Governor's demanded to be in charge, look at all the protests.
