If this is true and that ***** dead, there is no succession plan. His kids are under 10 years old. He killed one brother. The other brother is considered the Fredo of the family. I don't think his sister would be accepted as a ruler either. We could be seeing the complete undoing of North Korea. It would be very bad if a bad actor like China stepped in and opened the flood gates and allowed South Korea to be overrun by poor, uneducated, hungry ignorant North Koreans that have no worldliness about them at all. It would almost be worse than an actual invasion.
The initial integration of the North into the South might cause some pain but ultimately it would make for a larger and economically stronger unified Korea. South Korea would become bigger both in terms of land and populace (workers) overnight.

I personally hope things stay as they are in terms of nuclear geopolitics until Trump is out of office. At least with Kim Jong Un, you know what you get and Trump seems to have figured out how to deal with him.
One would think the world would be a better place. However, I don't believe it would be. I doubt the sister will be able to gain power in a country that doesn't recognize women as more than housekeepers and baby factories. It can get very ugly, very quickly. China is going to want to take that country over. We can't let that happen either.
