The State has no right to do any lockdown at any level. It has no rights...Period.
However, if you have to beat your child/wife over hardship that conceivable could have occurred under capitalism (instead of the draconian socialism you already accepted) then you are a weak-minded POS.
Of course if you want to kill yourself, by drugs or any other measure, that's your right as long as you don't violate the non-aggression principle.
Okay, so the study shows deaths from heart attacks decreased in women, which makes sense given that they are now just doing the domestic portion of their workday as opposed to it being a second shift. And, it shows a decrease in men dying in their cars, which makes sense given that they are driving less with no job to drive to and preserving gas. But please note this:

Our study also suggests that the recent recession contributed to the growth in deaths from overdoses of prescription drugs in working-age adults in metropolitan areas.
Additionally, please note that they repeated over and over “metropolitan areas”. This means large cities and researchers will tell you conclusions about metro areas are not able to be generalized to non-urban areas.
The Lancet: New triple antiviral drug combination shows early promise for treating COVID-19 in phase 2 randomized trial
First evidence that early treatment with triple antiviral therapy of interferon beta-1b, lopinavir-ritonavir, and ribavirin - alongside standard care - is safe and shortens duration of viral shedding compared to lopinavir-ritonavir alone (average 7 days vs 12 days), in patients with mild to moderate COVID-19.
"Our trial demonstrates that early treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19 with a triple combination of antiviral drugs may rapidly suppress the amount of virus in a patient's body, relieve symptoms, and reduce the risk to health-care workers by reducing the duration and quantity of viral shedding (when the virus is detectable and potentially transmissible).
Furthermore, the treatment combination appeared safe and well tolerated by patients", says Professor Kwok-Yung Yuen from the University of Hong Kong who led the research. [1]
Secondary outcomes supported the findings, indicating that clinical improvement was significantly better in the triple combination group--with the triple therapy halving the time to complete alleviation of symptoms (average 4 days vs 8 days) and a SOFA score of 0 (average 3 days vs 8 days), and resulting in significantly shorter average hospital stay (9 days vs 14.5 days).
There is some evidence that COVID-19 infection may lead to intestinal infection and be present in faeces. However, to date only one study has cultured the COVID-19 virus from a single stool specimen.9 There have been no reports of faecal−oral transmission of the COVID-19 virus to date.

However, it is unclear whether the virus found in feces may be capable of causing COVID-19. There has not been any confirmed report of the virus spreading from feces to a person. Scientists also do not know how much risk there is that the virus could be spread from the feces of an infected person to another person. However, they think this risk is low based on data from previous outbreaks of diseases caused by related coronaviruses, such as severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS).
That's how science works. All of the answers discovered are not absolute at the same time. "Unclear" simply means more study is needed.
If you are approached by an armed robber who demands your wallet, do you ignore him because it is "unclear" whether his gun is loaded or not, or do you comply until further research is done? Same story.
Well, studies concluded that an apartment building in China, that had some defective plumbling aeration, was at fault for the spread of SARs in the building.
But I am absolutely sure you know better, so I will change my mind.
Not.
I understand that a lot of studies and data are not conclusive, but at least I know what things they are considering and testing to see if it is a vector. Science goes down whatever path the data leads.
my apologies. I thought we were talking about the US.
now, that would raise a red flag on some broken-down NYC apartment buildings. We'd like to think 50 residents from the same apartment building would have somebody in science wondering "Hmmm , could it be like that Hong Kong apartment?"
