Yep, a large part of the economy has already been damaged.
Which leads to a different conversation and if this was part of the intent, all along. Sinister road to go down, and a bit of a tin foil hat wearing road, but valid to discuss, nontheless.
As the doctors mentioned, it makes no sense to quarantine healthy people. This has never been done before.
Litigation and judgements are made on statistical fact, not presumed assumption and speculation.
Huge class action lawsuits are in the works, over this overblown government reaction.
This lockdown and shutdown will have inflicted more financial damage and death, long term, than this COVID-19 virus has in the short term.
The lawsuits will come, and governments should be held accountable for ignorance. Whereas media should be held accountable for sensationlist, fear-mongering narratives and consistent panic-pushing 24/7.
just so we understand "younger" means <50 yrs old. They have 1 patient that was 31.
Quote:
but this new trend was concerning because it involved younger patients in their 30s and 40s with mild symptoms.
All five people Oxley described were under 50; one of them died, three are in rehabilitation facilities, and the fifth person will require intensive in-home care, he said.
"For comparison, our service, over the previous 12 months, has treated on average 0.73 patients every 2 weeks under the age of 50 years with large vessel stroke,"
Quote:
He told the Australian Broadcasting Co., however, that five people in two weeks is a very small sample size and a tiny minority of coronavirus patients overall, so it's "still too early to know what the real numbers are going to be" for this age group.
This is what I do not understand...if all the panic and overblown responses were not called for...the virus was obviously a disguise for something else
This does not follow. The panic and overblown responses could have been merely attempts to limit responsibility in the face of limited information about COVID.
Like it or hate it,the following is only my opinion:
Out Country will return to self reliance.
This will create jobs and more people back to work.
Welfare as we know it will be challenged.
The hungry........errrr ummmm.....food,job,health
insecure will be returned to family for reliance rather
than state or city responsibility. All capable will be
required to contribute to society.
If the "rate of death" were actually 0.03%, 70 million people in New York would have to be sick to get 20 thousand dead New Yorkers.
Meantime - does this "grander scheme" go all the way to Europe too? India? We got Russia in on it? Man, this is a remarkable scheme that can unify everyone like this...
This is what I do not understand...if all the panic and overblown responses were not called for...the virus was obviously a disguise for something else, so its not going to matter one bit what the real facts on the virus are,or even if a vaccine is created...if the goal was destroy the economy...that will still happen, those responsible will just find another reason to justify continued restrictions.
And sadly, they do not have to do this much longer either...once the collapse starts, it would be next to impossible to stop it, once a certain threshold is crossed, it will happen on its own, despite what new facts come out about the virus, I think we have already crossed that threshold weeks ago, I can see it in what the state and federal govts are currently doing, they are in 'scramble mode', trying anything and everything to maintain control.
While I dont dismiss the possibilities of conspiracy on this, perhaps that discussion is for another thread since these doctors arent talking about that and if we introduce that it just gives naysayers an easy excuse..
What they do discuss is troubling at best, criminal at worst.
It may be just ineptitude or overreaction to CYA.
You know how people were after 9/11. Like Bush should have seized on that one item in the presidential daily threat report and focus just on that. How many items are on that every day? And what else is on his mind, how many other facets of the job must he predict.
Its amusing, reminds me of all the tsunami warning signs they put in the beach areas of san diego, where undersea topography deems it incredibly unlikely we could ever have one. The signs tell you which way to run even though its always obviously uphill, and you cant outrun it anyway.
The purpose of the signs is obviously so if it happens they can say they did something.
Except the CDC or WHO can now just claim any random set of symptoms which relate to any of a lot of existing conditions are due to some newfangled bug. I'm seriously at the point where I'm doubting that a noval corona virus even existed and all we have are the words of the CDC and WHO. All they have to say is "test for this" and if "this" is something already endemic to most humans, then guess what? They'll have a massive positive rate. It's like the global warming garbage, it's all based on a few early flawed tests and everything since is built on that.

Except "New York City" doesn't just include the boundaries of NYC, in terms of daily people movement, it's a 3-4 state hub, with NJ, CT, and even RI.

This originated with the WHO, they most certainly do have worldwide influence. Like I say above, start with the same bad data, pass it to every country, and boom.

Please.
You do not sample one area then project that upon the whole world to extrapolate a mortality rate. Thats dumb or dishonest.
IF its a conspiracy and Im not saying it is, what makes you think everyone would need to be in on it? How do you even come up with that argument?
