Howard is not a Democrat. I found no proof of him being a Democrat or a Republican. Why must anyone complaining about Republicans be Democrats by default? It can be Gren, Libertarian or Independents too...

It's one of his ways (his comments that prompted this thread) of critiquing Trump as a President.

As a President period, not as a Republican President.

IMO, he's trying to get people to question/examine voting for Trump again.

To ask how anyone could vote to continue the facepalming/train wreck aspects of this Presidency (and 'but Biden' doesn't cut it because not voting for Trump doesn't require anyone to vote for Biden).

In a way, he's holding a mirror in front of Trump supporters, trying to provoke thought by saying something outrageous.

He probably hopes that some Trump voters will examine why his comment is upsetting them and, as a next step, why they are voting for Trump and ultimately, perhaps not cast that vote.

Political cartoonists draw cartoons of mobs of supporters scurrying to follow Trump (who is a few strides ahead of them) where the rest of the illustration shows them all heading towards a cliff.
