This should have been left up to the judge instead of DOJ dropping the case at this point. Van Grack resigned, yet another case where the prosecutors were overruled by Barr I assume with White House backing.

How the heck can Flynn's statement that he didn't speak with the Russian Ambassador not be material, they weren't asking him what he had for lunch.

None of this means that Flynn wasn't guilty, he still lied to Pence and Spicer and pled guilty twice. All this means is that the DOJ is dropping the case because of politics. It will be interesting to see how the judge handles this development.

The government is not persuaded that the Jan. 24, 2017, interview was conducted with a legitimate investigative basis and therefore does not believe Mr. Flynn’s statements were material even if untrue,” the United States attorney in Washington, Timothy L. Shea, said in a motion to dismiss the charges.

AG Barr farmed this case out to an independent U.S Attorney in St. Louis to look at this. It's his office that reported back to the DOJ that got this disgraceful frame-up of General Flynn deep-sixed. This case is small-potatoes in a larger puzzle that is going to expose the entire rotten edifice that was Crossfire Hurricane.

Schiff on Flynn: 'This dismissal does not exonerate him. But it does incriminate Bill Barr' |Washington Examiner

Schiff and Nadler should call Judge Sullivan to testify along with AG Barr. Both Nadler and Schiff are Lawyers (apparently they missed some important classes in Law School) - perhaps both the US Attorney General AND a Federal Judge can explain some Law to them.
Nothing more satisfying than watching those consumed with hatred rant and rave like petulant toddlers when the lights are turn on in their star chamber.

Tick Tock, waiting for Comey, McGabe, Yates, Strzok, Brennon, Page, etc. To all be taken away in handcuffs.

Schiff should resign, Pelosi too!

Then to reopen the Clinton email cover up.

I hope Flynn will get millions so he can pay his current lawyer and have a good life to live as he and his family deserve it.

All others should be pardoned!

Congrats to Flynn and his legal team.

There is no information on this, no revelation. Barr and the DOJ had access to everything in this case for over a year and suddenly decided to drop it so stop making believe this was some type of astounding investigation. Flynn pled guilty, he wasn't framed maybe you should ask Pence and Trump why they fired him and had this sudden change of heart.

Get lost. Anyone but an addled TDS half-wit knew this case was a fraud for years. BTW Flynn's plea was neither knowing or voluntary. Both of those things are required for a guilty plea. You people know little about anything.

The only surprise here is it took CNN nearly 3 hours to try to spin the story against Flynn. The fix was in against Flynn, not for. I’d recommend finding a better source for news than Jeffrey Toobin, he’s been wrong about everything.

If anything, CNN and WaPo should be apologizing to Flynn, if they can’t do that they should remain silent on the situation.

Not surprising. AG Barr continues to do favors for trump's friends. Flynn pled guilty twice LOL.

The damage is already done, though. Flynn is a disgraced, convicted felon that has spent a considerable time in federal prison. His reputation is forever tarnished. Barr can't fix that.

I imagine we will begin seeing Flynn on Fox News, defending trump against whatever latest scandal comes up LOL.

Flynn is a hero. It looks like you can’t face reality, you were sold a bill of goods, brainwashed by the media and their agenda, used as a pawn to undo the 2016 election on the false basis of collusion with Russia.
