What the... Uh, yeah. All elites chose to live here, because they can afford it and it has a natural beauty and plenty which is unparalleled in the world. Cali is the gateway to anything you want to see or do.
The point is, ONLY ELITES CAN LIVE HERE BECAUSE OF REGRESSIVE SOCIALISM THAT DESTROYS THE MIDDLE CLASS.
And, if you have money, you can segregate yourself from the crime. Taxation and crime make this place hell for anyone not rich or on the dole/illegal/criminal.
By putting the word "elite" in your argument, you have totally made the point of those who know this is a failed state.
We hear the endless whining on this forum that California is a "failed state" and that there is a "mass exodus" because it has become such a "terrible" place to live. Obviously, the conservatives on this forum are taking marching orders from people in the media that have repeated the same tropes, namely on platforms such as VOA, Fox News, Breitbart, etc.
What is incredibly ironic is the fact that many of the commentators that are chief critics of California politics voluntarily choose to reside in California.
Let's name some of the conservatives/Republicans that choose to live in California. Key word choose because it's 2020 and you don't need to be in Hollywood or Silicon Valley to be an influencer anymore.
- Ben Shapiro
- Mike Rowe
- Peter Thiel
- Dave Rubin
- Dinesh D'Souza
- Ann Coulter
- Frank Luntz
- Dennis Prager
- Palmer Luckey
- Tomi Lahren
- the list goes on...
The Ayn Rand Institute is located in Irvine of all places, one of the most heavily regulated cities in the most heavily regulated state in the nation.
And if they don't live in California, they more than likely reside in New York City. Rush Limbaugh has famously lectured about the "importance of not forgetting about rural America" from comfort of his NYC penthouse.
It is interesting that the liberal elite more or less reside where their audience is. The same cannot be said for conservatives.
It's nice to keep your enemies near. Cali is a great state with the best climate in the USA and many nice areas if you are rich or poor illegal. It sux if you're middle class though.

Like it or hate it the following is only my opinion:
Successful people usually have more than one home and are not judged because of where they live.
Should former President Obama be labeled an Uncle Tom for living in Kalorama Washington D.C.
with median home prices of $1.5 million and is 83% White 7% Chinese 6% other and only 4% Black ?
Answer is NO.................. Nice Try............
Why should people leave a state if they can afford to live there just because the state is poorly run? People have made their lives in California. In some ways, its the coward's way out to cut and run when the going gets tough.
Believe it or not, but personal politics is not the sole determining factor in people's decision of where to live.
How dare you refute the OP’s baseless claims.
Don’t you know politics based on local and state governments dictates where your place of employment and residence should be? As a libertarian I’m technically not allowed to even be in America
Californians are hoping to get their state back. This dictatorship by petty Dem bureaucrats is the last straw and more Dems will #WalkAway
