As many as 250,000 guest workers seeking a green card in the U.S.—about 200,000 of them on H-1B visas—could lose their legal status by the end of June, according to Jeremy Neufeld, an immigration policy analyst with the Washington D.C.-based think tank Niskanen Center. Thousands more who are not seeking resident status may also be forced to return home, he said. About three-quarters of H-1B visas go to people working in the technology industry, though the exact levels vary year by year.

No doubt they're heartbroken to hear they don't have the sympathy of some random crank on an internet discussion board.
They were invited to come here, they made plans around that presumption, and now those plans have been seriously disrupted and their lives turned upside-down just like the rest of us -- only they have to uproot themselves again and leave whereas the rest of us get to stay put. I don't see why their being here on work visas should invoke the sort of mean-spirited schadenfraude you're putting on display here.

Many of them can’t leave either.
In the article are some from India. India’s borders are closed.
Nobody was forced out by visa workers brought in with specific skills. More Americans need skills.
Yeah, here's the problem. Young Americans can't build said skills, because US corporations have moved the entry-level positions overseas - looked good on the quarterly results, right? Fast-forward a decade, and the same corporations discovered - surprise, surprise - that there wasn't a new generation of American technologists working their way up the ranks, gaining experience and building skills.
OTOH, there was a bunch of experienced people overseas who'd love to take their chance in the US on an H1B - and the really nice thing about H1Bs are that they're tied to the employer. Lose your job, lose your chance at living in the US - now that puts the power where corporation owners like it. You can, for instance, hire them at a considerably lower rate - what are they going to do, look for another job?
Presto, call your Congressman and whine that there's no local talent. Hundreds of thousands of overseas people will fight for the chance.
Then, of course, comes stage 3: Why have American workers at all? H1B visa holders are way more compliant, and cheaper, too.
We're seeing a culmination of 10-15 years of the moneyed interests setting government policy.
Oh, and good luck going cold-turkey now. Where are you going to find the experienced workforce?
Do you even know what your linking to or just throwing in random links? What’s that have to do with Chinese and Africans?

False. These people are brought in with fake resumes, credentials and sometimes even fake interviews. Most of them are trained from zero experience and live in groups. If they get into management, they will only hire other Indians, especially their wives on h4ead and their family members. The fraud in this program is rampant.
Most have no special skills. People hire them because they are cheap and can not leave or complain about mistreatment.
