There actually is a significant number of African Americans who see through the shameless pandering and race baiting from the democrats and are willing to vote for Trump, but no one is making youtube videos or writing news articles acknowledging their existence. The left writes these African Americans off, and often tries to shame them or make fun of them.

Is Trump talking about new national police training and healing? Is Trump proposing new laws governing the conduct of police for states to pass or perhaps a national standard that states must accept based on getting funding? Is Trump calling on key figures to have a round table discussion?
Trump is busy tweeting in ways that make it worse.
There are about 12,000 local police departments. POTUS has no authority over local LE.
I am unaware of any POTUS, Governor or Mayor, anywhere in the US, whose words alone, deescalated protracted violent riots. Have I missed something?
If it does not burn out on its own, curfews and the state national guard are called in as a last resort.
