nope let the cities burn and then people can make informed decisions on the type of people they vote for from now on.
When a riot runs rampant, it doesn't matter who's the Mayor or Governor. Shooting the protesters would only add fuel to the flames, and the risk of it being relocated to another part of the city.
Remember Watts/1965, half the L.A. police force was down there doing nothing, as there were snipers on the rooftops firing at the police and firemen. Can you blame them for not entering the war zone? Riots call for the expertise of the National Guard. Finally, 15,000 Guardsmen quelled the Watts riot.

It is up to the State Governors as mentioned about to activate their National Guard units, Trump has no authority to bring in Federal Troops. The Posse Comitatus Act, limits federal troops’ deployment on U.S. soil and forbids using them to enforce domestic laws.

I don't know, I think the fear is starting to sink in for them... Their protests that they've demanded and nurtured have morphed into violent, uncontrollable riots. Many democrats are watching their businesses destroyed, maybe more. These events will probably force some to adjust their world view and politics, just a little.
