We didn't have any racial riots since Rodney King until Obama took office. Great divider. Did nothing for our country.

He took vacations in Martha’s Vineyard. I’m sure that helped.

This is all BEFORE Trump, so let's just focus on what Obama did to solve the issue and why the issue did not change in his 8 years.
The 'Beer summit'.

This is a serious answer. That is what he did.

A heck of a lot more than racist divider Birtherism conspiracy believer Trump... unfortunately racial inequality has always been a part of America... responses here show that some want to keep racial inequality in America forever...

What did you want him to do to solve racial inequality? Nothing...

Here is what Obama actually did...

He did quite a bit to bring out of control police departments under control. Probably the biggest mistake he made was not pushing through a new Voting Rights Act after the SCOTUS made voter suppression legal again.

Man, Obama was all over those racial issues during his presidency.

By the way, the base at Guantanamo Bay is STILL open.

B.O. = most ineffective president ever.

He did nothing.

That is why I moved to the right and became a Republican. Until Obama, I only voted Democrat. But, after his first term, I was disgusted with him and the libs because Obama and his administration did nothing for African Americans. He pandered to them for their votes and left them behind. They had so much hope for him, and he duped them.

The conservative party makes so much sense to me now. I believe, and always have, in self-sufficiency, self-reliance and grinding work ethic to get yourself to where you want to be in life. Why I ever was a Democrat, I don't know. They are the party of dependence, dependency on the "system," lemming-like herd mentality, bullies, intolerance and discrimination against anyone who doesn't hold their views.
