The Democratic party no longer exists. The only democrats that still exist are also now republicans or independents. The Democrat party was infiltrated by radical communists a long time ago and it today it is just the communism party.

Okay, you got me. Cuomo didn't actually say "Please keep rioting." What he said was, after the first night of mayhem, that the NYPD could do the job. Then after they clearly were outmanned, he said they were doing a bad job, but the National Guard wasn't necessary. Then, with a police force unable to control things, and NO National Guard, that is a tacit approval. And there was more rioting. What would you call it if you COULD stop a riot, but you didn't.
From what I read he couldn't or didn't want to go against what the mayor was doing.

Maybe DeBlasio didn't want to look like Trump, who knows?

Why not do as the military does? Use private contractors. As the Iraq War played out, there were at times, more contracted resources than enlisted. Compensate them well. Evaluate constantly. Hold them accountable.
NO ONE will take a private police position which may potentially prosecute them for using force against violent criminals- NO ONE.

Compensate them well? I thought you were supporting defunding the police?

Unfortunately, liberals fail to hold criminals "accountable", yet are giddy about prosecuting the police.

When you deal with violent criminals, it is not like dealing with a group of high school honor students- they do not respond to reason or rational discourse. They live by violence and only understand violence as a means of deterrence.

If you doubt any of the above, please move to Detroit, Watts, East St. Louis, Compton, or the south side of Chicago and see how you make out. Liberals love to promote unrealistic "solutions" to problems, as they are usually insulated from the consequences of those policies and live in a fantasy land.

Of course they are liberals and democrats.
Do you honestly think those looting thugs, the anarchists, or Antifa vote for republicans...

The democrat party has morphed into an insane collection of idiots who want to institute mob rule and tribalism in America.

If the dems had their way, every US city would look like Mogadishu, in which war lords preside over the population with violence and feudal order.
Cool story, bro.

Do you honestly think you know who these people are? You don't. If you have a link or source as to who they are, please share.

The ideological affiliation of the looters and arsonists is of no consequence to me. All I see is their actions. And they should all be locked up. We have the technology to identify and hunt down every one of them and put them away. But our laws are weak and ineffectual. Unless you try to open up your gym or go swimming during Covid. Those things are enforced.

With regard to your post about Cuomo not being able to go against Di Blasio. He could if he wanted to. But those two idiots should have worked it out with the safety of the citizens in mind, and the preservation of people's businesses. Playing the "he won't let me" game and letting the city burn is not okay.

When a governor has the political will to lock up its citizenry for three months, he has the will to overrule a mayor--even if he has to remove him from office.

Cuomo just has this strange resignation to what happened this week. Maybe he picked it up from his brother who wonders 'why do protests have to be peaceful.'

Going after people for petty things like swimming or pronouns, and letting this type of chaos reign, that is anarchy. The Democrats are increasingly becoming like that. Language is 'violence,' but property damage is not? What they represent just isn't logical.

I don't know what the protocol is for NY, governor vs. mayor. I have no idea.

I don't condone looters and arsonists myself. Never have. We can agree on that. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

But for some to come on here and cast aspersions on a particular party as being the ones who are doing the looting and burning is just nonsensical. You, me, no one else on this forum knows who these people are. If someone on here does and knows they're a Dem, then please share that information. I would be the first to condemn their actions.

I'm not sure what going after people for swimming and pronouns entails. I understand we have been in a pandemic, and especially in NY, things have had to tamped down because of the wildfire-like spread of this disease. I can understand the authorities wanting to get a handle on that. But nobody is being locked down forever, it's just a necessary precaution that had to be taken. Most of the entire country went through that to some degree. That's what happens when there is a global crisis like Covid.

IMO, Democrats have RUINED their chances by promoting anarchism, not becoming anarchists but condoning the behavior.
