BET founder Robert Johnson calls for $14 trillion of reparations for slavery

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/01/bets...r-slavery.html

Perfect timing!

America has already doled out trillions of dollars to black communities to "help" them over the past few decades. It doesn't seem like it has had as much of a positive impact as it should.

Do you think trillions of new reparations should be paid to black communities?

That’s how he feels. *shrug*

I have no idea the exact amount African-Americans are owed. It’s not just for slavery though but for the burning, looting and stealing their homes and businesses; burning their churches and schools; raping their women and young girls etc.

It’s the right thing to do.

Please note the above said African-American. Not all black people/communities are African-American and therefore would not be eligible.

Great! I think the Far Left Progressive Microsoft, Apple, Google, Facebook, Amazon, Comcast, Disney, Public Sector Unions like SEIU, NEA, AFT and the other Democrat Virtue Signalers should pay it.

No. You can't use force against this nation to get what you want. Inevitably, the American spirit will collectively push back such an attempt. I'm all for equality and treating people the same. But how does forcing me to give you money go towards advancing that cause?

$14 trillion divided among (at most) 42 million African-Americans is $357 thousand per head. Sweet. Who wouldn't want that? (Well, apart from those who have to pay for it.) Will everybody get genetically-tested to determine their portion of "blackness"? What about immigrants from Africa? Will it just be descendants of slave-holders who get taxed to pay for this? Does any of the money go to pay for Civil War casualties?

Just no.

As if we take lectures from nihilists about right and wrong.

They aren't owed anything.

Virtually all Blacks today were born into relative affluence on the world scale, and they weren't born as slaves. There are tens of millions of Whites here who have started with as little or less.

You have to use two columns in your ledger. Debits and credits.

Murders, rapes, and more get accounted for on both sides. When that is taken into account, outside of your fantasy narrative, things can even go badly for Blacks rather than show the path to free money.

Stated otherwise, the gift horse's mouth is open and reparations are a sledgehammer to its teeth.
