"This should not be confused with a permissive stance on all gatherings, particularly protests against stay-home orders. Those actions not only oppose public health interventions, but are also rooted in white nationalism and run contrary to respect for Black lives.”
So basically, if you’re protesting racism, then congregating in the thousands is ok
At this point it's so absurd that I do not even know what to think. "We're all going to die!!!!1111!!!!! Get inside!!!!1111!!!" Unless you're protesting against racism, then nothing to worry about.
The coronavirus shutdown and the protests, riots, and looting are all just some of the demolib's plan to sacrifice America right before going into the 2020 election. Of course they don't stop the protests, riots and looting because of coronavirus. They need it just as much as all the other stuff going on over the past several months: impeachment - failure, coronavirus shut down of the American economy, protesting, rioting, looting, and now remove law & order from society via removal of law enforcement and resurrection of the Occupy movement.
“However, as public health advocates, we do not condemn these gatherings as risky for COVID-19 transmission. We support them as vital to the national public health and to the threatened health specifically of Black people in the United States. We can show that support by facilitating safest protesting practices without detracting from demonstrators’ ability to gather and demand change. This should not be confused with a permissive stance on all gatherings, particularly protests against stay-home orders.”
The health experts I have heard have expressed concern and have gone on to urge people who do protest to get tested. I don't see in this thread who these health experts are who say there is no risk to protesting? From the quote on the Fox news screen shot it sounds like whoever is being quoted is saying he or she would not "condemn" the protests dur to the risk, but not that it isn't risky. It's still further than I've heard any health experts go, but I would be curious to know who the unnamed health expert is and what his or her credentials are. Also, if it is one health expert saying this, then it is that - one health expert. Not health experts writ large.
The pandemic that was “fake” to Republicans last week is now suddenly very real to them.
Give me a break.
No, it's the hypocrisy
