Mostly because of us, we have 4% of the world’s population and we are generating 60,000 cases a day or approximately 20% of new cases. Most countries are flat or declining we are on par with India, Mexico and Brazil accounting for almost 200,000 new cases.

That still means the world generated 170,000 new cases yesterday. Hardly a world that has defeated it.

Herd Immunity may be a pipe dream as well.

Actual totals was 196,000 yesterday, US, India, Brazil account for over 100,000. The fact that we are only 4% of the population in a supposedly advanced country generating 60,000 cases is stunning. Most of the world is doing pretty well.

The only reason we have such a high count? We have an election come November and they don't.

No, the only reason the USA has a high count is because Trump is a failed president and he failed at protecting Americans from Covid. His response to Covid is the failure. Other countries had Covid and their leaders didn't fail at the response like Trump did, as their numbers are much better than the USA. He couldn't have prevented Covid, but he could have responded much faster and much better and this is why he failed.

Florida deaths are down by 60% over the past 4 days. Scroll all the way down and you can see we went from 119 to 45.

Yup lots of countries still showing cases.....and some record setting -- Russia, India, Bangladesh. USA is one of them.

There are many countries that have managed to mitigate the spread, reporting significantly lower positive cases rather than reaching new daily records.

But you are right -- not everyone in the world is there yet. Wonder if we could learn from countries that have been more successful.

You would expect for a lag time in reported deaths. Florida is hitting its peak in positive cases NOW - we might not see the death rate impacted until two weeks from now. Who knows.

Do you?

See graph attached which shows a steep rise in Covid deaths. God knows why the poster you are talking to keeps spreading fake news to downplay the problem, but it's possible he/she feels like he/she is doing Trump a favor by doing it.

FL just reported 12 600 new cases on Sunday, which is surprising, since the Sunday numbers are practically always lower due to the reporting standards.

Interestingly Trump is now taking credit for the March lock-down, saying he saved millions of lives by doing it.

New day, new story......
