One of the most common scenarios of "reasonable person" standard is yelling BOMB or FIRE in a crowded theater or a mall. Yeah, you can get arrested for doing that based on a reasonable person standard even if you were joking.

On the subject of reasonable !!!

Law enforcement is limited when responding to demonstrations
The law prohibits officers from using tear gas on protesters without warning and from firing less-lethal projectiles indiscriminately at demonstrators’ heads, pelvises or backs.
This section of the legislation came after the police response to Denver protests after Floyd’s death.
“No longer can you fire rubber bullets, hitting someone in the eye where they lose their eyesight,” said Sen. Fields.

So now when the mob attacks the cop must be expert and on target area with the rubber bullets while defending themselves !!! What are they supposed to do, tell the mob don't bump my elbows when I'm shooting,
Pleeeeeeease !!!

Just the Police ..... BUT, the Governor's Personal Police detail is exempt.

THAT poster being Black is trying his best to comply with demands of the society and to raise his son as upright citizen. Yet his son STILL has to stay for thirty minutes with his legs spread, hands on top of his truck, JUST BECAUSE.

Apparently, he didn't meet "high expectations" of yet another police officer who didn't like the look of his truck, and just simply for being Black.

When this particular "segment of our population* is shoved into the sh*tholes of ghettos with no transportation, no decent schools for their children and no jobs around, and you keep on pushing the narrative of "high expectations," and "tough love" from police department, guess what is going to come out of this wonderful combination?

You don't know? Then look at today's news.
No one shoved them into the ghettos. They make choices to drop out of school, have multiple kids as a single parent with zero hope of being able to support them, join gangs and /or engage in criminal activity. All of these things leads to poverty.

Also, the school are NOT the primary problem. The culture is the problem. It’s no secret that black kids In the poor areas think you are too white (whatever that means) if you work hard and want to learn in school. Couple that with the fact that the vast majority of these kids are parented by people who don’t care and it’s just a big repeating circle. One generation of uneducated poor after another and people like you just keep providing excuses.

As a society we can help those who want out and are willing to put in the work to better themselves, but people can’t be magically rescued. People have to want better for themselves and society should set appropriately expectations as well. If they want to stay in the slums, that’s fine, but don’t complain that people are holding you back when it is your decisions that are keeping you there.

And yet police departments all over the world seem to be able to police their citizens without making the world news every other week for abuses or excessive force.

Maybe we need to rethink how we respond to some situations? Maybe our police need better training. Maybe they need to be more willing to confront each other when they see a brother cop going over the line?

WE used to treat some ailments with Mercury. We figured out that Mercury was bad for us. There is no shame in evolving.

Maybe the difference is in the news media not the police?

I remember about a month ago during the covid19 times (aww the good O covid19 times), liberals on CD were screaming foul when a conservative poster made a thread about covid19 infection rate between a conservative state of Wyoming and libs state of New York. Libs said it’s not fair to compare WY to NY due to factors like population density, international hub, etc.....which is all true.

Now you are comparing USA to other countries in the world for police violence? Last time I checked US has the third largest population in the world, diversity, our media controls the world, and we LOVE gun violence. How many countries in the world fit that description?

I guess you only made dumb comparison if it only fits your narrative

Good luck on any insurance company underwriting such a policy!! If they did, the premiums would be off the charts high.
