If its found she faked it, she should be sentenced for staging a hate crime. A summer of picking up trash along the highway in the hot summer sun should get her mind straight. Maybe an orange jumpsuit with a rebel flag like the General Lee color scheme could work. Then people could throw trash at her and yell at her and she could get a real idea of hate and intolerance.
Five days later and still no updates, just that the police is devoting significant resources to the investigation with the help of the FBI. $5000 reward for any tips.

She didn't fake it. She made it up, to explain burns that may or may not have been suffered in connection with a case of arson that she may or may not have committed or witnessed.
Especially when committing a crime given that the lighter is so good at capturing finger prints.

It's been six days and absolutely nothing from the police but standard fluff statements about a lot of resources being devoted to the case. No video evidence whatsoever? Why no notices to the public with description and drawings of attackers?
