I've been keeping track, almost since the Coronavirus panic started. Writing down the number of deaths every evening.

Here's a graph of what I've been getting from the Washington Post.

Remind me why we need to start shutting the country down again?

Have Coronavirus deaths been increasing? Umm, no. They've been steadily decreasing, and are the lowest since March-deathsperdaypermillionpopulation_07jul2020.jpg

I think the vulnerable and those caring for them have learned how to better protect themselves. My wife’s a diabetic. I’d appreciate if people would wear masks in stores, etc. but will steer clear of them otherwise and limit such experiences. Of course, the economy won’t completely come back until the old, the obese, diabetics, asthmatics, cancer patients, COPD sufferers, heart disease patients, those with chronic kidney disease, etc, etc, etc and their loved ones feel safe running about.

Let’s see what happens in the next three to four weeks.

I’ll be getting Moderna’s vaccine by the end of the month.

We don’t need to shut anything down.

Why? Rapidly rising infections, people still not wearing masks, over 130K deaths so far, asymptomatic transmission, and absolutely no vaccine in sight...

Today's death rate is higher than the last three Tuesdays . Is this a start to the reversal of the declining death rate or just a one day catch up in deaths that were even less counted than normal weekends due to the 4th of July holiday? https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

I don't know if it's been long enough to tally up this second spike of the first wave. We'll need to wait a few more weeks. With that said, it's a good idea to pay attention to hospital visits and critical condition patients, which is ~20% last I heard. These people are ending up with permanent organ damage.

Mid June saw cases begin to rise. About 4 to 6 weeks from then is when the death rate will increase.

Here are some projections of easing vs masks. It's about 60,000 people.

I'd vote for my dog's turd over Trump. Nobody would be better than Trump. So, I don't think it matters who runs at this point.
