Not really. The Democrats have been concocting hoax after hoax and telling lie after lie ever since Trump thumped Hillary in the election.

I put nothing past your political party. I would not be surprised if Democrats colluded with the Communist Party of China to unleash COVID-19 on the world. Tells you something about your party, not my "tinfoil hat."

Here's a graph of what I've been getting from the Washington Post.

Remind me why we need to start shutting the country down again?

.

Because some won't follow the rules and the number of cases spike because of it. Wear a mask and social distancing is the way to go. Do it for your fellow man. We've been wearing masks since mid March and social distancing. No big deal, and our numbers are going way down. States opening up to quickly are seeing a huge increase in cases.

Yeah, nice talking points. Unfortunately the data doesn't support your propaganda. California has been spiking and they had one of the strictest shutdowns in the country. States that never shut down like South Dakota and Iowa have the among the best numbers in the nation.

The truth is shutdowns are irrelevant in a world where mass rioting and protests are allowed by the same people who claim it's too risky to sit on a beach.

People who critically think see through the Democrat Party's nonsense. Obviously you don't.

Parts of California did open up fairly quickly, and even with their spikes, per capita wise California is still not seeing the increases on the same level as Texas, Florida and Arizona.

California opened up too soon. That was the problem. And how was California one of the strictist shutdowns compared to Maryland. Masks were madatory in March there. Look at their numbers now.

Well since Natalie and Smash are just going to repeat their propaganda and lies without providing any data, let's look at the data. Mortality rate by state from highest (worst) to lowest (best). The number in parentheses after the state name is COVID-19 deaths per 100,000 people.

1. New Jersey (171) (Democrat governor)

8. Michigan (62) (Democrat governor)
9. Illinois (55) (Democrat governor)
10. Maryland (54) (RINO governor)

The data proves that Democrat-run states are far deadlier. Period, end of story.

It's easy to believe that Democrats are sabotaging the economy to make Trump look bad. They are doing exactly what the Republicans would do if the situation were reversed.

That said, taking precautions during a pandemic is not a political statement. It's common sense that is confused with politics.

Trump is faced with a situation where making the pandemic go away guarantees re-election. Failure to protect social order, education, supply chain and lives is guaranteed loss. I think Trump banked on herd immunity and quack medicine, neither of which work. It's unlikely that the economy or plague will improve before Spring 2021, meaning it's unlikely that Trump will be re-elected.

The south is being hammered with this virus. You probably don't follow the numbers every day but I do because most of my family members live there.

I just gave you the data that shows the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic is being "hammered with this virus," not "the South." Good grief.
