There is online education. People just want their free babysitting.

OK, so schoolkids can't vote.

But teachers and parents do.

Is this clown really trying to throw the election?

What is up with him?

I am not sure where anyone lives. But in the Miami area, those schools have about 3000 students in their halls. They are mega schools. So what happens at lunch time ? Or to drink water etc? Sports ?

Kids should be in school.
Out of one side of the mouth "darn teachers and unions are indoctrinating the kids! bleurrrr" and out of the other side of the mouth "kids need to stay in school!! blahhh"

That's not to say that kids don't belong in school. Damn straight they do. It's a village raising American children and big part of that is the school district, the teachers, library, museums, etc. What's getting in the way is this situation and the uneducated, scientific illiterate we have in the WH and his matching supporters. We can't get ahead of this situation due to the stupidity of the Trump cult. I hope the American people sue the ever living hoot out of all of them.

If the schools aren't open then every teacher and bureaucrat should be furloughed indefinitely until they are open. Think the teachers' union can get on board with that? Their dues might dry up.

I'd also like a 50% discount on my school property taxes.

Nothing. The SCIENCE tells us that children are at almost no risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19, much less die from it.

What we have here is a bunch of selfish, scared, brainwashed by the media liberal teachers who love the idea of sitting on their asses at home for the rest of their lives while doing a 2-hour zoom session every day and getting paid for it.

Education is an essential service. If you are a teacher and scared to teach kids, go find a different job. The teachers have been failing at their jobs for a long time anyway.

Absolutely. I also hope that any public university that declines to reopen is defunded. We can use that money to rebuild American cities that were destroyed by products of American higher education.
