Yeah, it's sad to see the far left take over the Democrat party.
A vote for Biden, is a vote for chaos, destruction and more bureaucracy and higher taxes.
Trump is doing great with breaking up the swamp. Biden means the DC swamp returns in full force.
I have been reading all of the great work that the Trump administration is doing, in order to stop the disgusting industry of human/child trafficking.
This alone will make me vote for Trump, despite the other things I dislike about Trump.
Wouldn't it be funny if Trump's sole reason for running for POTUS was not any of the things he ran on, but to expose and break up the sex trafficking rings of woman and children.
Fiscally responsible doesn't mean you only look at ways to cut spending. It means you pay for what you bought. And there's only one party that's fiscally irresponsible. they don't want to return what they bought and they don't want to pay for it either. Guess who that is?
It's kind of hilarious to me that you think there's a fiscally responsible party. Among the 2 major parties, there's the fiscally irresponsible Republicans, and the laughably fiscally irresponsible Democrats.
You typically get hundreds of billions of dollars in deficit spending every year with Republicans and trillions of dollars in deficit spending every year with Democrats controlling the purse.
Neither of them is in any way legitimately responsible. It's so bad that the fiscally irresponsible Republicans look responsible by comparison.
Now, to what you were trying to say, that Democrats were "responsible" because they want to jack up taxes.....that's the worst of both worlds. They want to cause pain via taxes while sinking the country trillions into debt. They are even worse at "paying for" their ridiculous spending than the Republicans are.
What is needed is for some adults to take over who will cut spending in order to pay off the massive debt run up by the Republicans and Democrats. Once that is paid down, then we can discuss robbing the piggy bank a bit.
Instead, what do we get? Republicans want to spend trillions more while Democrats want to spend tens of trillions more.
The truth is the people who actually want to country to do well are the target along with Trump.
I think it's safe to say that we ALL want the country to do well. At least all of us who are American citizens. Why would anyone not want their country to do well? It defies reason.
In my opinion, we can never "do well" as long as Trump is in the White House.
I guess the conflct is around how one defines doing well. Trump's slogan in 2016 was Make America Great Again. I thought America was already great. I thought we were doing pretty well during Obama's second term. We've taken a giant step backwards since then.
Doing well in my eyes is having a just and fair economy, confronting racism, having compassion for the less fortunate, making decisions based on sound science, protecting the environment and above all, respect for truth.

That's not safe to say at all. Almost no one on the left wants the country to do well, in fact, they actively desire for the country to fail because they hate the country. They desire to tear everything down and re-build a socialist nation.
Right now, the country has more internal enemies than external enemies and is under greater threat than it has been since the Civil War.
I am also done with the left. My parents immigrated to the U.S. in 1979 for opportunities that they couldn't get in India. I was raised a moderate liberal with deep respect for the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s that gave us all EQUAL opportunities including the rights for our family to have the same rights as White natural born citizens. NOW, the radical left is threatening to dismantle the U.S. as we know it. After many of us law-abiding citizens here in California dutifully stayed at home for over 2 months to stop the spread of Covid, thousands of "protesters" were given a free pass to riot, loot, and brutalize cops and random innocents while the so called "experts" condoned this behavior saying that "protesting racism" is suddenly more important than preventing this virus that supposedly would kill millions of people if we didn't obey the orders to stay home. Then, after the spike in cases that started in Mid June with no end in sight, they tell us the "protests" had nothing to do with this surge and it was all coming from the opening of businesses and people throwing backyard BBQs or going to the beach. Just NO, NO, NO. The only hope to rescue the left is for Biden to pick a strong centrist that has a background in law enforcement for his V.P. spot. Otherwise, I'm grudgingly going to vote for Trump. Ironically, among my circle of friends and acquaintances (wide range of ethnic backgrounds, ages and walks of life), the strongest supporters of BLM are White Liberals. When I challenge them, they insist that I am of "privilege" despite being a person of color because my parents came here voluntarily and I was raised upper middle class. Since I'm technically not African American, I have no right to against BLM matter either so we need more Black moderates and Conservatives to come out and back to MLK's original message if we want to save this nation for all of us.

You know there is history that you can look at that shows who increases the deficit right? Republicans have increased spending dramatically under the last four years, and I have done nothing to close the deficit Gap. You haven't cut any programs you haven't raised any revenue.
compare that to the eight years under Obama, or even with increased spending, Democrats were still finding ways to cut spending and raise revenue.
but you not having a grasp on history is nothing that I'm not used to dealing with with regards to Republicans. you guys rely on outdated memes to make your point, instead of actually looking at facts. It's why you would roll out and easily debunk myth that somehow Republicans spend less or have a smaller deficit spending than Democrats.

Yeah there is, when Democrats control the power of the purse, they increase the deficit far more than Republicans. I've had to spell this out for you guys time and time again.
Unfortunately too many of our friends on the left are merely regurgitating talking points and don't seem to understand who controls spending in the US.....here's a hint, it's not the president.
Right now Pelosi controls the power of the purse and history tells us that when Pelosi has that power, she will ensure that the country is at least running a trillion dollars in deficit spending.

The left wants to tear it all down. All I know is there would be less freedom, higher taxes, less jobs, redistribution. Basically a form of socialism/communism. Doesn’t sound like a utopia to me. Democrats cave immediately out of fear they will be ostracized/shamed/canceled.
