The problem is that people who love Trump believed him when he downplayed it.
Thus, 152,000 dead and growing.
See, those of us who despise Trump were smart enough to listen to the experts. It's the damn Trump supporters who STILL refuse to. Which is why it's going to take a long time for this country to recover. We might not even begin in earnest until Trump is removed from office, as he continually sabotages any efforts to move forward.
Which means Americans should buckle up and expect a lot more death before we can start to turn this thing around.
Okay. If you say so. It's kind of laughable, that you blame Trump supporters only...ignoring the protests, riots, and looting...which from all the news reports, don't show too many MAGA hat people attending. I also didn't see too many MAGA hats from then spring break footage which helped spur more infected.
It's fine, blame Trump...some people just have to put blame on something. If I had to, I'd place the blame on China and the W.H.O.
Yeah this event has been very hard on a lot of people, and is unprecedented in the last century. I'm not sure any amount of economic measures could have prevented it. We could have managed it a whole lot better though.

Yeah. The thing is...look at the 1918 pandemic and you can see the exact same mistakes being made. We are very very fortunate this wasnt something worse.
The U.S. economy saw the biggest plunge in activity it has ever known in the second quarter, though it wasn’t quite as bad as feared.
Gross domestic product from April to June plunged 32.9%, according to the Commerce Department’s first reading on the data released Thursday. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had been looking for a drop of 34.7%.
Still, it was the worst drop ever, with the closest previously coming in mid-1921.
yet the real estate market is booming. makes no sense.
I don't know how it is nationally, but its flat here in Florida.
The government has pumped trillions into salvaging the stock market, and so far it doing ok. I think investors knew this was going to be an ugly quarter and it was factored into the stock market.
