With reports of Biden's cognitive abilities declining further, there have been some in the dem party who have advocating that Biden NOT debate Trump, as his mental status would be on display for the nation.
From the short conversations that the media will share, Biden is really incapable of holding a cogent, intelligent conversation, even among his supporters. How would he possibly be able to defend his views from Trump and a panel during a debate?
IF Biden does debate Trump, he is finished. The DNC knows this and former Clinton aides have suggested that Biden not participate in the debates.

I can't remember the last time I saw or heard Biden.
It quite obvious his team is hiding him.
I get the feeling if he is elected POYUS, that we would rarely hear from him. and most of the governing/decision making would be by committee behind the scenes.
When he does emerge he gaffs every "friendly" place he makes an appearance.

As in many cases, I could not participate in your poll because the choices were to restrictive and/or biased where I could not find an answer that closely aligns with my view.
That said, of course Biden will need to debate, regardless of how sharp or dull he will be.
To shirk a head to head debate in this day and age would be unthinkable.
Americans are picking the most important executive position in our country, and arguably the entire world.
To think any candidate could potentially slide into the position without showing the acumen to hold and take the reins of such an important position to the entire globe, is absurd.
I predict Biden will not be as feeble as some predicts, and might even have an advantage of exceeding such low expectations.
At least in the first debate.
