Shut down the economy and all the negatives that go with that for a bad flu year? Not science.

Did I say shut down the economy? Please cite one post where I said shut down the economy. I've said wear masks and socially distance. That's about it. What government do to mitigate the effects if people won't do those two simple things is up to them, not me. From what I've seen, the majority are in agreement.

I don't have a problem with whatever the government wants to do. I pretty much stay home except to get groceries anyway. But I do still go hiking and get outdoors. I think getting exercise and fresh air is vital to your mental health. Other than that, I'm fairly unaffected. I will continue to wear a mask and socially distance when I have to go to the store or anywhere that I'm around people.

That being said, I feel terrible for those who have lost their jobs or can't have their kids go to school. I'm not smart enough to have the answers to those problems. I do think the government should be doing more to help those in need instead of giving bailouts to millionaires and billionaires. That's disgusting. People are hungry, losing their homes, having mental problems with this virus. Those are who should be being helped during this crisis.

I thought it was science, whether its climate change or Covid-19. I never knew how many deniers we had in the US, I guess 160,000 dead is what it takes but there is a healthy contingent that avoids reality.
