look man tbh I don't like Trump but even if you think he could have done better (and I do) about the Covid response, he was given a bad hand for 2020 with Covid and all and even if you want him out (and I think I do) you need to cut him a little slack for Covid. In my knowledge we haven't seen a crisis like this in at least a 100 years.

You truly don't understand how math works...do you? R naught for this virus is greater than 1. Combined with the fact that many people are asymptomatic there can easily be a significant spread before you know what is happening. The virus WILL spread and it doesn't care about Democrat or Republican. In order to stop it you would have had to shut down everything immediately....and no, 14 days would not be anywhere near enough. And by everything, I mean everything. Do you believe Europe did a better job? In most of their countries, the deaths per million are higher and/or significantly higher than ours.
