If the government had taken the pandemic seriously from the beginning and took quick decisive action, extended lock downs would not have been so necessary.
They may have long-expired but many businesses are going under because they could not survive the lock downs.
Probably even more businesses could not survive if there was never any lock downs at all. Too many workers would call in sick. Too many customers would be afraid to come shop, especially if many hospitals were overwhelmed with covid patients.

That's the only thing that would have stopped this. If it was contained in China's borders the second they knew about it. That may have been November.
And the lockdown model is from the Wuhan playbook. Italy copied it, and then everyone followed suit. There is no evidence that for a virus like this, lock downs are the way to go. Time will tell when they assess the excess deaths--from Covid, the economic collapse, and from the shut downs.

If China stopped people from traveling to other parts of the world and kept it local, if they didn't lie about it not being that contagious, if the World Health didn't go along with China to protect them. If our so called health experts didn't say it wasn't that much to worry about and wearing masks didn't really help. I could go on and on but it's easier just to blame Trump.

Carlson already had blow-back on this. Her name is so close to Pamela I would think it was pronounced that way but with a K instead of a P but oh no we are just suppose to know how to pronounce it-----or else YOU ARE A RACIST.
I don't know of any lockdowns except maybe those bars, restaurants, gyms, etc., that tried to reopen and had to close again.
