Let us not pretend that the uber rich regardless of color are not different from the 95%; or that as wealth increases, the number of opportunities to paint outside the lines increases. That there are mores shades of gray. It is the nature of man, even - - those equity loving, systemic racism busting illiberals. The big surprise, the potential felon is a uber rich black man. There is no special category of villains or villainy. Man is imperfect, inconsistent, hypocritical. Yet whiny hypocrites try to fool themselves and others by mini-pontifical screeds. Get over yourselves.
Systemic racism, my asp. It is incumbent on every man or woman to compete, to make it their life long job to improve their lot, as well as their families. Never mind the obstacles. It is part of life.

What the audience didn’t know was that Smith was harboring a financial secret. He was being pursued by Justice Department prosecutors and Internal Revenue Service agents for potential tax crimes, according to four people familiar with the matter.

Federal authorities have spent four years examining whether Smith failed to pay U.S. taxes on about $200 million in assets that moved through offshore structures, some of those people said. Smith hasn’t been charged, and prosecutors may conclude he owes no taxes on those assets.
Note the investigation goes back to the Obama years.
