Lingering health issues: Did they have those issues before contracting COVID 19, and did that make them more likely to have a more severe case?
No, the death count was not reduced to less than 10,000. That is just those with no underlying health factors.
Many of those who recover are having ongoing problems that were not present before they caught the virus. Your denying they exist will not make them go away.
