Why does Trump continue to Host "Super Spreader" Events?

My answer today is different from what it might have been just a few short days ago,.

We now know that Trump was fully informed of the dangers of COVID, and he understood that information very early in the crises. It's not what he told his following, so we had (and to an extent still have) danger deniers among the Trumpies, but Trump himself knew how dangerous it was.

Trump made a cold political calculation, he doesn't really care about the health consequences to ordinary Americans, he just wants to win re-election and the only way he knows how to run a campaign is these super-spreader events. So damn it, he will hold the events!

So I guess the real question is "why is he willing to risk the lives of his own people to win re-election?", "why is he willing to keep lying to his followers?" ... "Why is he willing to keep 'Herman Cain-ing' the people who love him the most?"

The motivation must be pretty strong, but for what possible gain? It's a cold hard calculation.

It is, in fact, pre-meditated mass manslaughter.

Because he cares nothing for the American people, he is stupid, or both.

the idiots at his events are just that ---and Trump realizes that they'll lead risky, maskless, non-distancing lives whether he's at the podium or not.....or maybe it's that the news/media folks know how to pick out the idiots - perhaps, but it seems every interview of the attendees make them sound like they're a few cards short of a full deck.

A total 17 rallies held by Trump since he betrayed the American people with his lies per CNN.

I also notice how a lot of Lib states are even allowing restaurants to open. Even when scientist say it will cause the virus to spread more.

So the facts look like they also really agree with like Trump. But playing politics and not saying so.

And what is different now than months ago?

Why didn't they then or even now order a complete lock down and stay at home order?

Just more of if Trump does something it is always bad. If Libs do the same thing it is not a problem.

You would think Lib states would have better leadership. And do what they say Trump should have done. Since still spreading. And since Lib states have a higher covid 19 death rate. Sort of proves it would have been higher with a Lib president doesn't it.

Chief, how many times do you want to hear the same things repeated over and over again? We all know how this will go: you'll complain about Trump holding rallies, people will respond with, "if it's okay for people to protest and riot in the streets for months on end, then it's also okay to attend rallies." We've been hearing this same exchange for months. Move on.

I am focused, if someone has COVID and we both wear masks, and keep our social distance, then I'm not worried about catching the virus. I am healthy, my chances of dying from COIVID is statistically 0.0015%, and that is IF a actually become infected.

I know, tens of thousands of BLM protesters, and no one on the left is concerned about them spreading the virus. But a couple Trump rallies, OMG, suddenly they turn into Henny Penny
