If some 2A/Trump supporters had their way, the streets would be littered with the bodies of black bloc rioters already.
And it's not "civil war". It's "stopping people from starting mayhem."
I happen to disagree with them. I believe the LEO (b they cops, state troopers, National Guard) HAVE to be given the opportunity to stop the lawlessness. And the opportunity has to come from the mayors/governors.

I'm sure you'll recall that on December 14, 2012? Adam Lanza walked into Sandy Hook Elementary. He killed 28 people that day. Then there was the Umpqua Community College shooting on October 1, 2015. Then there was the 2013 Santa Monica shooting where 6 people were killed. Remember how the Republicans kept saying, "Go figure!! Obama's America!!" Remember the shooting that inspired all the rest? On April 20, 1999 when Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold walked into Columbine High School? Remember that they killed 13 people, injured 24 and then killed themselves? Remember what the Republicans kept saying? "OMG!! Should have known!! Bill Clinton's America!!"
You know why the Republicans didn't blame those things on the sitting US President at the time?? Because they're not insane! Because they know better! Because they have enough integrity in their own partisan-adled bias to realize that the President of the United States does not cause bad things to happen on a local level. You look for blame in your city governments first. Then state governments. But above all else, you do not blame the President of the United States anymore than you blame the victims. Law enforcement in Portland is Ted Wheeler's job. In New York, Bill DeBlasio is your guy. These are the idiots who refuse to enforce the law and then shriek like banshees when Donald Trump tries to help them do their damn jobs.

Secondly, the above doesn’t mean that Republicans give more. The first article says they give more to private charities. The second states that they declare what they give more. Read what you posted.
Actually Trump is intentionally creating the problem and making it worse; by demonizing the opposition, by having a cabinet almost devoid of minorities, by hyperbole, by ignoring the terrorism of white nationalists, he has created a simple yet false dichotomy.
We have been through worse before: the labor unrest in the last part of the 1800's, the civil unrest in WV and CO in which parts of both states devolved into chaos and unrest. The difference is that now we have a president who encourages it, who does not try to mitigate the circumstances which caused the unrest.
When he started his campaign he demonized immigrants from Mexico. They were the enemy; now he sees Americans as the enemy. A second term will make it all worse, not better.
No, all this mayhem is on how poorly the democratic ran states and cities are handling the riots and Trump isn’t against legal Mexican immigrants, it is illegal immigrants, can you go to any country and just walk across the border without I’d or getting checked? Not even Mexico will just let you move there without legal documentation.
