More than 200 retired generals, admirals endorse Biden, including some who served under Trump

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/202...LDyZSHHIIFIVCU

"Our allies no longer trust or respect us, and our enemies no longer fear us," the former officers and officials wrote in a letter released Thursday.

WASHINGTON — More than 200 retired generals and admirals endorsed Joe Biden for president in a letter published Thursday, saying he had the character and judgment to serve as commander-in-chief instead of President Donald Trump, who has failed "to meet challenges large or small."

Some of the officers who signed the letter supporting Biden had retired only in the past few years, including Air Force Gen. Paul Selva, who served as vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Trump before he retired in August 2019; Vice Adm. Gardner Howe, a Navy SEAL leader who also retired last year; and retired Adm. Paul Zukunft, who oversaw the Coast Guard until 2018.

The list of signatories featured 22 retired four-star military officers, among them Navy Adm. Samuel Locklear, who oversaw all U.S. forces in the Pacific from 2012 to 2015, and Adm. Harry Ulrich, who commanded U.S. naval forces in Europe during President George W. Bush's administration.

I'm with them!

Sure go ahead and vote for the supreme Gaslighter-in-chief for another 4 years of peace and prosperity (and the national guard) to keep the rich, rich.

Those who can't win a debate on merit, go off-topic, & deflect away from the original topic they failed upon.

Deflection = defeat....it is a waving white flag of surrender.

We accept your unconditional surrender

Is that the best you got? Trump is not a war monger.. some generals are. Maybe they feel neutered by Trump. Get some better material to debate.

Most of those conflicts were started by Bush. We are still at war: Libya, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Niger, we either have troops on the ground or are providing naval support.

Meanwhile, instead of acting like a Commander in Chief, Trump twitters. The 7th Fleet is still failing in its certifications, and now Rear Adm. Eric Ver Hage, the Commander of Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC) and Director of Surface Ship Maintenance and Modernization, said “we don’t have enough (ship repair) capacity for peacetime.” The replacement of the Arleigh Burkes is on hold putting our sailors at sea on vessels which have reached the end of their hull life.

But its little wonder. There is no plan to provide the skilled workers needed to build and repair navy ships. There is such a shortage that some welders at Newport News are making over $100,000 a year. That's great but when it takes over 5 years to train one and there is a shortage where is the plan? The plan appears to be to keep sailors at sea until the hulls fail.

Saying "I didn't hear it" is not a refutation. Anyway, there is a thread for Trump's "suckers and losers" comments. Please post there.

"More than 200 retired generals, admirals", out of how many of retired generals and admirals?

So once again why does a FORMER officer who was in the military's opinion matter? There are things greater than them that is going on now (also because it really is above their paygrade and their security clearance now).

Generals and Admirals don't mean squat to Trump apologists because they mean nothing to Trump himself.

The rest of us think differently since these are people who dedicated their whole lives to serving the Unites States and risked their lives doing so. We appreciate them.

Top brass are politicians and lobbyists more than soldiers. This is worth more votes from the enlisted class, the bulk of his military support, if he bothers to campaign on that. He may be too busy with bigger gifts from the Dems.

NATIONAL SECURITY LEADERS FOR BIDEN

We are 489 retired Generals, Admirals, Senior Noncommissioned Officers, Ambassadors and Senior Civilian National Security Officials supporting Joe Biden for President.

AN OPEN LETTER TO AMERICA
September 24, 2020

To Our Fellow Citizens:

We are former public servants who have devoted our careers, and in many cases risked our lives, for the United States. We are generals, admirals, senior noncommissioned officers, ambassadors, and senior civilian national security leaders. We are Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. We love our country. Unfortunately, we also fear for it. The COVID-19 pandemic has proven America needs principled, wise, and responsible leadership. America needs a President who understands, as President Harry S. Truman said, that “the buck stops here.”

More on link.
Let's see how prophetic I am, if Trump wins in November.

My Prophecy: The U.S. will see its first Military Coup in American History.
