I am no friend of the CCP, but I have to admit it's smart propaganda. They are targeting children, the future, with innocent singing. The adults, though, have lived long enough to know true face of the CCP. Their Belt And Road Initiative (B&R) is a tough sell in the long term because they can't stay in foreign countries forever, as former empires have learned the hard way.
Nonetheless, you are not an empire until you control the resources of other countries. The B&R is the tool that will allow the CCP to do just that. And they have done well. The CCP controls most of the world's rare earth magnets, lithium, cobalt, etc.
In US media, no matter what China does it must have an evil agenda.
However, the real world does not work that way. In terms of international relations, China government is not necessarily more evil than the US government.
I'm gay and if I were in China, they would throw me in a concentration camp. Same with Christians. Your allegiance is to the CCP in China, not anything else.
And Christianity is legal in China too, but the churches need to register.
It may sound bad according to western standard, but pretty much all national organizations in China, religious or not, must get government approval.
