Puerto Rico Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced has endorsed President Trump. This is interesting on several different levels. The first is that she is a Republican. Who knew that the governor of Puerto Rico was a Republican? I am ashamed to say that I didn't.

Puerto Rico Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced endorses Trump

Puerto Rico Gov. Wanda Vázquez Garced (R) on Tuesday threw her support behind President Trump's bid for a second term and called on Puerto Ricans to cast their votes for him on Election Day.

“I ask all Puerto Ricans who are listening to go vote,” the governor said in an interview on Telemundo. “They have to go to vote, exercise their right to vote and evaluate who has represented being a person who thinks about Puerto Ricans and their needs at the most difficult moment: It is Donald Trump.”
Secondly, this is likely to have more impact in Florida than in Puerto Rico, as Puerto Rico is not a state, and therefore has no electoral votes. But there are a lot of Puerto Ricans in Florida and elsewhere, who will likely be influenced to some degree by this endorsement by the elected governor of their homeland.
