A debate also involves body language of the opponent.
Debate is a verbal fight of differing opinions, the moderator the ref.
With TV now the moderator asks.different questions of each debater ..not fair, opens to softball questions for one over another.
Just where in Joes basement will the moderator sit?

All in all the Republicans get played like rubes every time they agree to meet with the Democrats..Its like the Right is just happy to be invited to their. Own hanging.

Trump knows that he should not be allowed to debate in person. He knows that allowing him out puts many people’s health at risk. He’s trying to spin this to make Biden look weak. Biden needs to hold strong.

The President is doing a first: a virtual rally on Rush Limbaugh's show tomorrow, Oct. 9, John Lennon's birthday. Not sure yet what time it starts. The show is normally 9am PT and Noon ET for three hours. Just heard it on Rush's show with Mark Steyn sub host right now.

So he'll do a virtual rally but not a virtual debate? Interesting...

I do not see sleepy Joe or sleepy Democrats ever agreeing to such rules. If they were to agree to it i would be fine with virtual debate but in reality there is no reason to have virtual debate being CDC own guidelines says one need to quarantine only for 10 days from onset of symptoms.

great. so we're both in agreement that both camps should concede to a virtual debate with independent observers.
