Amazing, Socialist level Minneapolis taxes with a third-world level of service.

I can't imagine the appeal of Minneapolis at all. Even before they had a surge in violent crime.

I have been in Minnesota many, many times. Small towns like Duluth, St. Cloud and Moorhead offer much more than the failed city of Minneapolis could ever dream of.

Already, 66 homicides this year which is more than triple the total in 2009.

Minneapolis homicides double in 2010 compared to 2009 | City Pages

What a mess and it's a very expensive city to reside in with extremely high taxes but yet they can't even provide a safe city for the fortune that it costs.

I sort of feel sorry for people who are elderly and have resided there a very long time and have seen it go from a gem of a city to one of the most dangerous cities in America.

I love taking a vacation to Minnesota and have many times but Minneapolis has been an awful city for a very long and the longest I spent there was a couple of hours.

I have been in the Great State of Minnesota many times and it has so many beautiful and safe communities that are incredible vacation areas for half the year.

Mary Tyler Moore liked the Twin Citys but that was more than twenty years ago.

'Staggering' surge in violent carjackings continues across Minneapolis
Such attacks were up 537% compared with last November, worrying residents.
Over the past two months, Minneapolis police have logged more than 125 carjackings in the city, a troubling surge that authorities had largely linked to small groups of marauding teens.

Zero sympathy for anyone in that city. Elections have consequences.

We need more social workers to handle these situations. We also need to invest in education and before and after school programs for kids at risk, then we need to give them free food for breakfast lunch and dinner. Then you will see crime disappear

This. Democrats want lawlessness, rioting, looting, arson and they are fine with Black on Black murder as long as Blacks keep voting for them.

As John McEnroe would say. You can not be serious!

Minneapolis homicides already more than triple the total for all of 2009, city proposes 14 million police defunding (Minnesota, violent crime)
You are cherry-picking trying to use 2009 as a comparison point, because your own link shows the homicides doubled between 2009 and 2010. When homicide rates are low, then even small fluctuations show big change percentage vice. If you have 2 in 2009 and 4 in 2010, you can say murders doubles, but it would be a silly statement.

As for crime rates, Minneapolis does not even make it to Top-15 and in murders its even further down.
