"...Dr. David Nabarro from the WHO appealed to world leaders yesterday, telling them to stop “using lockdowns as your primary control method” of the coronavirus.

He also claimed that the only thing lockdowns achieved was poverty – with no mention of the potential lives saved.

“Lockdowns just have one consequence that you must never ever belittle, and that is making poor people an awful lot poorer,” he said....

“Look what’s happened to smallholder farmers all over the world. … Look what’s happening to poverty levels. It seems that we may well have a doubling of world poverty by next year. We may well have at least a doubling of child malnutrition...."”

WHO is changing their tune because they’ve finally discovered humans’ well-being is based on more than just what happens inside their body. Poverty and and malnutrition are just two of the negative outcomes of lockdowns. Increases in suicide and domestic abuse, including child sexual abuse, are also outcomes of the shutdowns. FAR children have died or been irreparably harmed by shutdowns than were ever at risk of even a day of sniffles from CoVid. We have sacrificed young lives for old lives, and in the United States we are continuing to do it strictly for political purposes.

Well, I wonder if CNN/MSNBC/the Biden Campaign/DNC/Democrat Governors will report on this or listen to the "science". We all know the answer: the media and the Democrats want to make and keep people as unhappy and as miserable as possible, at least until after the election.

Yep, their voters have government jobs or they're on welfare for the most part. The gravy train keeps running for them whether we're shutdown or not. Democrats really are reprehensible, evil people.

A recently released study on the death rate:

"...Many early deaths may have been due to suboptimal management, malfunctional health systems, hydroxychloroquine, sending COVID‐19 patients to nursing homes, and nosocomial infections; such deaths are partially avoidable moving forward. About 10% of the global population may be infected by October 2020. Global infection fatality rate is 0.15‐0.20% (0.03‐0.04% in those <70 years), with large variability across locations with different age‐structure, institutionalization rates, socioeconomic inequalities, population‐level clinical risk profile, public health measures, and health care...."

the epidemiologists/virologists are by profession focused on 1 thing - the actual disease.

the "perfect solution" was to completely stay in our homes for ~30 days, and if anyone in your home had Covid, then wait 3 weeks after their last symptoms and test everyone in that household. Only allow docs/nurses to work, and only allow those who definitely needed hospitalization but could reasonably be expected to survive to go to the hospital and receive treatment. And we would only constantly test the docs/nurses. That is the only way to completely isolate the contagious, unless we rented out the cruise ships, loaded them up and set them off to sea.

Facts scare them.

If you ever posts facts challenging talking points, all they do is repeat the talking points.

The world and the WHO foolishly followed China's lead. The world found out China doesn't know best. Better later than never I guess...
