I’m a liberal and I’m not opposed to agriculture subsidies for farmers.

But,

1. Acknowledge that farmers benefit from our socialist-lite policies in the ag sector. Farmers are not capitalists in the true sense of the word.

2. Acknowledge that Trump’s subsidies in particular benefit large corporations over small farmers.

I grew up in the “corn belt,” never believe Republicans when they say they are for capitalism and free markets.
