Just spitballin' here but I think only one of the candidates is going to have a really issue complying with this...

It’s kind of funny. Usually, they’re not so transparent about changing the rules mid game. They just do it and pretend they didn’t. Speaking of the anti-Trump crowd generally.

They are trying to provoke Trump into cancelling the debate in order to spare their preferred candidate the humiliation that they know is imminent if the debate is held.

Absurd. Why is it Trump's inherent right to interrupt the other candidate's speaking time and violate the rules he previously signed off on?

Why is insisting he not do that a provocation to cancel?

I think it’s the same inherent right Biden has to call the President of the United States a racist on national tv., and nobody even cares.

One of the most pathetic things I’ve ever seen, all because he was interrupted in a debate.

I think that will be the strategy. Pence did this. Somewhat ignore the questions asked by the moderator and talk about what you want the people to hear. And then give a short answer to the question. Can't do that with the major issue questions and I think both Biden and Trump displayed that in the first debate. Despite all the interrupting they held in it check on the issues they needed to, Race, Covid etc...it was the lesser issues they went all grumpy old men.

Trump is too unhinged and impatient to do that.
