This is a bit scary:

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-b1201774.html

"South Korean health authorities have sought to downplay vaccine fears within the country following the recent deaths of nine people who had been inoculated with a seasonal flu jab."

The deaths include a 17 year old boy. I also read that at least one person died in Brazil during a COVID-19 vaccine trial. Is this coincidence? A bad year for vaccines? Something else?

"A bit scary" is an understatement.

And no indication that the vaccine was involved at all...

So you're going with coincidence theory?

The person in Brazil got the placebo.

Here’s Reuter’s:

https://www.reuters.com/article/heal...-idUSL4N2HC0QA

8.3 million in SK have been inoculated since 10/13. Five people died within days of the inoculation. Officials say no reason to believe the deaths were linked to the shot, but investigationS ,including post mortem, are underway. We’ll see how this plays out.

Likely 5 out of every 8.3 million people die Ever X days, regardless of inoculation.

I got my annual flu shot in August, as I do every year.

Those into anti- vaxing are more likely to seize upon this story as proof of their own perceptions.

People tend to believe anything when it seems to validate their perceptions and then take to social media to spread the word.

Less than 10 people dead with 8.3 million vaccinations. No "coincidence theory" needed. Whole story is much ado about nothing and trying to flip the burden of proof.

Annual population death rate: 2.5% (roughly)
8million (roughly) vaccinated

So about 20k of those 8million will die annually....or about 60 per day.

Go ahead and tweak those numbers a bit but you're still going to end up with dozens dead daily as a matter of life.

So, until it's been linked to the vaccination, this is not even coincidental.

P.S. When they did immunization trials in India a few years back (for HPV), anti-vax advocates jumped on all the people that died after getting immunized. Further delving into their numbers there were drownings, car accidents and even a couple deaths due to snakebite. So be wary of these claims\articles.
