I wish... but it's not going to work that way.
We, the middle class, will be taxed even more so those morons will get our money to pay for those bills. In effect, we will pay twice.

Lots of middle class people voted for Harris/Biden. I hope they get what they wanted. I am well off, so I'm good to go no matter what. I don't care what the price of energy is. The idiots who are voting for this crap deserve to get what they voted for and I will laugh my ass off the minute they start complaining. Reminds me of my parents who are die hard Democrats and always ***** & moan about the high taxes in their Democrat state. I just say "well, you keep voting for it". They get so pissed, but not pissed enough to stop voting for it.

the simple solution to global warming is just move all of our manufacturing, energy, etc to China...because no one cares what China does...and all the CO2 stays over there anyway
Nah...that's a bad idea. What's a better idea is totally ignoring that oil is a non-renewable resource and just kind of winging it until that particular foundation of our society collapses out from under us suddenly and without warning...possibly at about the same time that our coasts are flooding and a few hundred million or so broke, illiterate migrants are swarming our borders because their nations are no longer inhabitable.

Wheeee! Screw the future! It ain't here yet anyway. It don't matter. We'll all be dead by then and most children are irritating anyway. This can be our vengeance to them for bothering us all the time and liking bad music.

^Not sure about that. One should be brain dead to vote for current dems while being middle class.
As for you, I wouldn't be so sure about "good to go no matter what". Dems are nuts enough to tax you too but at, say, 99% of the income. Or, for example, make your real estate property tax like 100% a year. Or something else. There are no people that are invincible. And by the way, you would not be able to hide even offshore - if you give up your citizenship, US will continue to tax you for 10 years after that - enough time to extract every last penny from you.

I wonder how many wars we've had primarily over oil? We don't need to gradually wean society off that though. That's silly. That's all just liberal silly talk. They're silly. Silly Democrats. Silly NASA. NASA's just the leftist version of Alex Jones. All our allies' space programs - Japan, Germany, the U.K. They're all silly too. Global warming isn't real. That's just silly stuff.

A very large percentage of our society is completely insane and should be sent to re-education camps. Unfortunately, a large percentage of the police and military are also in that category so attempts to do so would only result in infighting. Maybe some kind of subliminal messages could be put in TV commercials or something? That might work better....

I know what my first action would be if I were president. It sure wouldn't be covered by the news though.

The only way we will defeat climate change is to change the climate ourselves. The science has been settled on how to accomplish this. Energy/fuel has to be so highly taxed and regulated that no one will be able to afford to drive a car or heat/cool their home. This will force people to not be wasteful with resources. Perhaps more people will walk/ride bikes more often (or use 0 emission public transportation such as mule powered jitney). Perhaps businesses will power their plants and offices with solar or wind. Perhaps we should not live in single family homes, but transit villages built into a mountainside for instance which would automatically be cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It is how our ancestors evolved, so it works.

So, let's stop damming rivers to control flooding, having heating and cooling in our homes, treating diseases, inoculating against them, fertilizing our fields to increase food production, etc., etc., etc. because you just can't gain any control over nature, eh?
