At some point people thought the earth was flat too.... Only the ignorant are the ones that still stand by that belief after further information/discovery has been learned. He's been standing by the stance that masks are important for months now...
Because Trump hated Obama because he could never hope to be as accomplished as Obama. The playbook looks like it might have had an enormous impact if Trump hadn't been too jealous of a Black man to admit the playbook was worth using. But then, Trump never did care as much about American citizens as he did about holding grudges.

The swine flu(s) never presented with the mass hospitalizations over running local acute HC facilities over any short period of time. 1976 and 2009. A years worth of deaths from the 2009 flu was about 5% of the Covid 19 deaths we have already had so far in 2020.

Obama's failure to do anything to reign in a pandemic left 60 million Americans infected with H1N1. And he failed to even block travel from the country of origin. His left-wing talking points meant more than American lives. We can be thankful that H1N1 wasn't nearly as deadly as Covid-and that the clueless Obama/Biden team was not in charge this time.
