Our blue state elected a republican governor and re elected him because he's a moderate who appeals to all of us.
The expansion of Big Government and the parasitic bureaucracy which feeds on the taxpayer never "solves" problems; it merely transforms them into a permanent fixture.

AOC is a progressive. Harris is a liberal. Biden is a moderate.

You haven't answered the question, just supported the question.

They call themselves progressives because they think it sounds positive for them.

Progress has a positive connotation to it. I think of it more as change, progressives want change. Some of those changes end up being bad and other ones are good. The political meaning has changed through time.

Conservatives want to preserve. Again, there are good things you can preserve and also bad ones. Conserve has a slightly positive connotation to it, but not as much as progress.

Liberal generally doesn’t sound great as being liberal with something means not taking care of it.

Elizabeth Warren is a progressive and also a Democratic Senator. Progressives push for reform, not just throw money to fix problems like liberals.

I liked when Warren challenged Biden 15 years ago on bankruptcy.

However, she had electability issues and likely her salary and elite lifestyle defied what her message once stood for.

Bernie is progressive but he isnt part of the Democratic party. Basically a total outsider.

I’d say most of the Democratic Senators aren’t progressive. I think liberal is synonymous to Left.

Biden and maybe Klobuchar would be center Left. Or moderate Left.

Justice Roberts and the Republican governors elected in very Blue states would likely be center Right.

Yup. They can't call themselves what they really are, because then nobody would vote for them.

Bingo.

It's all marketing schtick.

Example: "The Affordable Care Act"...... which was anything BUT affordable.

And because "Progressive" sounds better than Socialist, Marxist, Totalitarian etc..

Progressive = Marxist

It's very simple. Big government dependency, big government control.

One may have been able to argue that once, but the GOP has embraced deficit spending.
